What is this about?

Washington officials are proposing to slash Medicare support for skin cancer care beginning in 2027. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, which organized this campaign, the proposed cuts are so deep that they are expected to close dermatology clinics and sharply reduce patient access to care. That means long waits, long drives, and delayed cancer diagnoses, putting millions of older Americans at risk.
