Cosmetic Procedures

Dr. Traywick has worked with leading cosmetic dermatologists who helped pioneer cosmetic treatments such as chemical peels.

  • Dysport® and BOTOX® injection for wrinkles and excessive sweating.
  • A physician-administered treatment for mild to severe facial wrinkles on the forehead and crow's feet areas. Botox® and Dysport® work by reducing the contractions of the muscles that cause persistent lines which have developed over time. Treatment may last 3-6 months. For additional information please visit www.dysport.com.

  • Dermal Fillers
  • Restylane® and Perlane® are naturally occurring substances that restore volume to the skin; resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance. They are used to treat a variety of wrinkles and folds in the face, and generally last for about 6 months.

  • Laser Treatments
  • Hair Removal The LightSheer Diode Laser targets hair follicles to remove existing hair and cause a significant reduction in future growth. Both small and large areas may be treated.

Broken Blood Vessels Spider veins, management of redness due to Rosacea, angiomas, some acne scarring and birthmarks may be treated using lasers. More than one treatment may be necessary

IPL for Pigmentation Intense Pulsed Light can be helpful in treating brown discoloration of the skin resulting from sun-damage and the aging process. The chest, face, hands, arms may be treated. More than one treatment is typically necessary.

ProFractional Laser Treatment If you are looking for younger looking skin, or to improve scars, wrinkles or sun damage, then you may be an ideal patient for a ProFractional laser procedure. When treated, the body’s natural healing process stimulates the production of new collagen, causing a plumping and smoothing of the skin. Typically done in a series of 1-4 treatments, spaced 3-6 weeks apart.

  • Sclerotherapy (treatment of spider veins)
  • Superficial spider veins and mild varicose veins are injected with a sterile liquid directly into the blood vessel. The solution used in the treatment irritates the lining of the vessel causing it to contract and collapse.

Esthetic Treatments

Dr. Traywick and Aimee (Licensed Esthetician) work with each patient to structure an action plan to target each patient's concerns.

  • Chemical Peels
  • An enzyme or chemical solution is applied to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. The precise enzyme and formula is adjusted to meet each patient's needs.

  • Dermaplaning
  • Dermaplaning is a safe, non-invasive skin resurfacing procedure that uses a special surgical blade (a Dermatome) to gently scrape away the top layer of dead epidermal cells. Dermaplaning is recommended to treat dry, rough skin, uneven skin tone, fine lines…even unwanted facial hair. It can produce a smoother skin texture and a clearer complexion, while minimizing fine lines and minor scars.

Dermaplaning is ideal for anyone interested in:

    • Removal of vellous facial hair (peach fuzz)
    • Non-chemical exfoliation of the face
    • An alternative to Microdermabrasion, which is not recommended for clients who have visible broken capillaries or fragile skin.
    •

  • Acne Treatment
  • 30/60 Minutes

Gentle cleansing, softening exfoliation and the removal of blackheads and whiteheads. Helpful alone, or in conjunction with physician-prescribed acne medications.

  • Milia Removal
  •

Most often found on the cheeks and around the eyes, milia appear as small white cysts. They form when dead skin cells get trapped beneath the surface. The skin is prepared with steam or a gentle exfoliant and the milia carefully extracted.

  • Clarisonic
  •

Clarisonic skin cleansing is the essential first step in an ultra-clean skin care ritual. Gently gliding while cleansing, the sonic action gently clarifies and revitalizes the skin. Even makeup is removed six times better than standard cleansing. And skin is left so clean it actually absorbs products such as serums moisturizers better. Can be performed alone or as the perfect precursor to a peel or makeup application.
